On September 10th, the Auburn and Candia Fire Departments hosted a joint training day on topics related to Search and Rescue. We had approximately 60 EMTs, Firefighters and Police offers from Auburn, Candia, Deerfield and Raymond participate in the training (regrettably a schedule conflict prevented Chester from joining us). The full day event included experts from around the state, including New England Search and Rescue, New Hampshire Fish and Game and the Upper Valley Wilderness Response Team. Training topics and exercises including the role of canine search dogs, police search dogs, line searching, orienteering and log angle technical rescue. The cooperative spirt and joint training has proven to be invaluable at building relationships with our partners in public service.
